The poet

After the fall of communism in Albania, a talented poet faces economic hardship and a lack of interest in poetry. To survive, he begins writing consolation verses and epitaphs for the dead. In search of clients and inspiration, he immerses himself in the world of funeral ceremonies, folk dirges and graves. With notes of satire and irony, the film tells of the clash between art, the market and survival in the post-communist transition.
