The Remigrant

"The Remigrant" tells the story of Bashkimi (50) and his son Besniku (17). They have much in common. Both had to leave their homes at a young age. The father was forced to flee to Austria because of the war in Kosovo, while his son must return to Kosovo at his father's request. Returning to Kosovo after seventeen years in Vienna is a tough test of growing up for both of them. The strong desire for the land of their childhood both unites and divides the father and his son.
